Hey, I'm Jessica, a 19-year-old Michigander, vegan, runner, equestrian, and salad connoisseur.
Currently training for my first 10k in May, and planning to run my first half marathon in October.
Delicious rainbow salad tonight… tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, oil-free baked sweet potatoes, cilantro, baby collard greens, scallions, avocado, mushrooms, & pea sprouts on a bed of lotsa (hidden) chopped red leaf lettuce. Also squeezed a bunch of lime juice in.
Avocado love ^-^
3 painful miles, strides at the end were skipped.
I’m not a happy camper.
Synergy is the interaction or cooperation of two or more substances or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. As in 1+1=3.
Synergy is the reason that isolated nutrients do not work the same in the body as they do when provided in their intact form. Whole foods contain tens of thousands of nutrients that work together synergistically to promote health.

GOOD NEWS. The ol’ hip flexors feel much better today, so I’m going to attempt to run. But inside. On the track. As nice as the weather is, I don’t want to aggravate this with more hills.
